Last night were played the semi-finals for the World Junior Championship. Russia defeated Sweden 4-1, then Canada won 5-1 versus Slovakia. Nic Petan, Winnipeg Jets 2nd round pick in 2013, scored three goals, giving his country a chance to play for a medal for the first time in the last three years.

The top 4 scorers of the tournament are all canadian. Nicolas Petan is leading the way with 11 points followed by teammates Sam Reinhart (4g 6a 10pts), Connor McDavid (2g 8a 10pts) and Curtis Lazar (5g 4a 9pts).
