The last time a NHL All-Star game happened was back in 2012 in Ottawa. Last year, the game was cancelled due to the Sochi Winter Olympic Games and the year before it was due to the lockout. This year’s edition will be on from January 23rd till January 25th in Columbus. The NHL also announced yesterday their newest jerseys for this special event. From the feedbacks I’ve read, most people dislike them. They look like they are going to glow in the dark.

Who are the players that made the most appearances in this All-Star Game?

Gordie Howe – 23 times
Ray Bourque – 19 times
Wayne Gretzky – 18 times
Frank Mahovlich – 15 times
Paul Coffey – 15 times
Mark Messier – 15 times
Scott Stevens – 13 times
Alex Delvecchio – 13 times
Glenn Hall – 13 times
Al MacInnis – 13 times
Joe Sakic – 12 times

Alex Ovechkin is the most invited player for this year’s edition with six invitations.
