There is a lot of good defenseman in the league. Few of them contribute greatly to the offense of a NHL team. But who contributes the most? To answer this question, I’ve taken a look at the top 10 offensive defenseman in the NHL for the last 4 seasons.

2- Dustin Byfuglien /177 points +7 /299 penalty minutes /19 powerplay goals
3- Shea Weber /175 points +7 /193 penalty minutes /29 powerplay goals
4- PK Subban /167 points +7 /313 penalty minutes /22 powerplay goals
5- Keith Yandle /166 points +7 /198 penalty minutes /10 powerplay goals
6- Duncan Keith /160 points +7 /115 penalty minutes /7 powerplay goals
7- Alex Pietrangelo /156 points +7 /90 penalty minutes /11 powerplay goals
8- Mark Streit /154 points +7 /136 penalty minutes /14 powerplay goals
9- Kevin Shattenkirk /151 points +7 /156 penalty minutes /18 powerplay goals
10- Ryan Suter /151 points +7 /120 penalty minutes /10 powerplay goals

It is interesting that only 2 Russians appear on that top50 list: Andrei Markov (32th 108pts) and Sergei Gonchar (44th 99pts). Both are playing with the Montreal Canadiens right now.
